At Concordia Paws, our mission is to provide shelter to abused, abandoned, and neglected dogs in our area. The video on the left is our first dogfighting ring bust. This is the day in 2015 when we "hit the ground running". Our shelter was not even ready yet...for these 46 dogs.
We are a 501c3 non-profit no-kill rescue.
Concordia Paws was founded in 2015 by a group of retired teachers who recognized the need for a local organization dedicated to helping homeless dogs. Since then, we have grown into a thriving nonprofit, serving hundreds of pups each year.
Our Shelter Team is headed by our talented manager, Colleen Bell. She oversees 85 dogs at the facility with the hardworking help of female inmates generously provided by Sheriff David Hedrick and Concordia Parish Sheriff's Office.
We are proud to partner with a variety of local people and organizations to provide the best possible support to our Shelter pups. From local merchants to vet care providers to loyal dog lovers, our partners help us extend our reach and impact in the community.
Join us in saving sweet pups through your generous donation to Concordia Paws. Together, we can create positive change!
